Short version: MyPetLogger is a private, on-device pet journal. We don't have accounts, we don't have servers of our own, and we don't collect personal data about you or your pets. Your records live on your iPhone, and optionally sync across your own devices through your own iCloud. Neither we nor any third party can read them.
1. 우리는 누구인가
MyPetLogger is developed and published by LC&V Systems LLC ("LC&V Systems", "we", "us"), a United States limited liability company. You can reach us at support@mypetlogger.com.
2. 수집하는 데이터
MyPetLogger is an offline-first app. The core pet data you enter — names, species, breeds, medical records, walks, notes, photos — is stored locally on your device in Apple's Core Data framework, and is never transmitted to us.
The following limited data categories may be collected by third-party services:
- Apple (iCloud sync): if you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your pet data is replicated to your own private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit. LC&V Systems has no access to this data.
- Apple (crash analytics): if you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings, Apple may forward anonymous crash logs to us. These contain no personal data.
- Apple HealthKit: if you enable "Sync Walks with Apple Health", walk workouts are written to your own Health database on-device. LC&V Systems has no access.
- Google AdMob (free users only): the AdMob SDK may collect device-level identifiers and aggregate metrics to serve and measure ads. AdMob is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can opt out by subscribing to any paid tier. On first launch we request App Tracking Transparency permission; if you decline, only non-personalized ads are served.
- Google Mobile Ads User Messaging Platform (UMP): for consent management in applicable regions.
- Google Analytics (website only): this marketing website uses Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled to measure aggregate visits. The app itself does not use Google Analytics.
3. 하지 않는 일
- We do not require, create, or store user accounts.
- We do not operate any backend server that stores your pet data.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
- We do not use your data to train machine-learning models.
- We do not build advertising profiles based on your in-app activity.
4. 요청하는 권한
- Camera & Photo Library: to take or choose a pet photo.
- Location (When In Use & Always): to record walk routes. "Always" is requested only to keep tracking your walk when the app is in the background.
- HealthKit: to write completed walks as workouts to Apple Health. Requested only the first time you start a walk, and only if you enable it.
- Notifications: to alert you when a walk goal is reached or a health item is due.
- App Tracking Transparency: required by Apple before AdMob can use your advertising identifier for personalized ads.
5. 어린이
MyPetLogger is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. 귀하의 권리
Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly:
- Delete any record in-app, or uninstall the app to remove everything at once.
- Use Settings → iCloud Sync → "Delete Cloud Data & Disable Sync" to remove the CloudKit-replicated copy of your data from your iCloud.
- Contact support@mypetlogger.com with any questions, GDPR/CCPA requests, or complaints.
7. 변경
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted in the app's Settings → What's New screen and on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
